The “back office” is set up so that each member can easily change what their page says. You could make changes on there everyday if you wanted to. You can offer coupons and have plenty of space to write about what is going on in your practice that month, or week. Below is an image of the member's back office - click to expand!
Also, we will encourage you to write articles and post them to the website – There is absolutely no additional charge to post articles and we want them there. We are trying to create the largest data base of alternative-health educational material and we need your help to do it. Only active, currently paid members will be able to contribute to the website. If a member drops out their material will be pulled from the site. In addition to the articles we also want you to list alternative-health related public events in the events area of the site. Again, it will not cost our members anything additional to add events that they are attending or hosting. Our members must be somehow involved with an event in order to list it. Again only currently paid members can list events. As if that wasn’t enough…………….. One of my biggest frustrations in trying to run my practice was trying to keep up with my website and how the internet works and the many changes in internet marketing. I call this Internet Management, which means making sure your website is doing its job so that your site is being found and your presence is where you want it to be. By being a member of this website you will have unlimited access to our growing library of internet management and marketing resources. What is that going to do for you, you might ask………………… It is going to help you avoid some of the things I have experienced as an alternative-health practitioner trying to market my practice using a website. In 2002 I paid a huge amount of money for a website to be built professionally. Upon completion and entry onto the search engines my site couldn’t be found – it was finally found on page 549 of Google. Why? Because the professionals I hired to build it didn't fully understand search engine optimization, so my site was not "visible" to the search engines in the proper way. What was I to do? I shut down my practice for a month and studied internet management so that I understood what the site needed in order to get to the top of Google and other search engines. My daughter and I learned a lot about web design in those weeks. Upon completion of a website makeover, that we did ourselves, for several of our keywords we were on page 1 of Google, Yahoo and MSN and on page 2 for a couple of others. Remember, I had just paid big bucks to have the site built. When I informed the web designer of what we had learned and how we had changed the site (it was a super easy fix) they were surprised because they didn’t know that what they had done would negatively affect the website on search engines that way. This is why you need to keep up at least a bit on search engines and web design and how it all works together. I understand that you don’t want to study and live this, or you would be in a high tech field. But in order to use the system you need to know some very important things about it. My daughter and I have continued to study internet management and marketing and we are writing articles and making training videos in YOUR language, not tech talk, so that you can understand the important things you need to know. We will also provide links to much more detailed information so that you can follow up with more research if you are in to that sort of thing. The bottom line of this section of the website is to educate yourself so that your web site will be working for you 24/7 and you will be able to know why it’s working and how it’s working and anything you choose to know.
